
Argus™ Multimedia Center - Help Guide
Launching the Multimedia Center
The following instructions describe how to launch the Multimedia Center using the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer versions 6.0 and later
- Mozilla Firefox versions 1.5 and later (Firefox requires the download of a plugin to view or listen to media in the Carolina Panthers Media Player. Please see the “Downloading Plugins” section)
- If using a Mcintosh computer, access the most recent audio and video on Panthers.com at http://www.panthers.com/Multimedia/Default.aspx?id=12606.
To launch the Multimedia Center, you must have:
- Adobe® Flash 8 Plugin installed
- Microsoft® Windows Media 10 installed
- Pop-up blockers in your browser disabled
Using the Multimedia Center
Once the Multimedia Center is launched, you will see the screen below.

Viewer
The Viewer displays the selected program. If you are listening to an audio broadcast on the Media Player, there will be no video displayed in this area.

Control Panel
The Control Panel below the Viewer can be used to control the program being shown in the Viewer. The following table describes these controls.
Name Control Description Play/Pause 
This control lets you toggle between playing a program in the Viewer and pausing a program that was playing. Play Previous Video 
Click this control to jump to the previous program on the list. Play Next Video 
Click this control to jump to the next program on the list. Program Timeline 
Drag this bar to the right to move the program forward or to the left to move the program backward. When you drag this bar, the timer to the right will update to show the remaining play time. Volume Control 
Drag the bar to the right to raise the volume or to the left to lower the volume. You can also click on the speaker icon to toggle the mute on/off. Add to Playlist 
This control allows you to add the video you are viewing to your Playlist. Get Link 
This control allows you to copy the URL directly and place it into a browser. Help 
Clicking the ? links you to this Help page. Expanded View 
Clicking this control toggles between the Multimedia Center Expanded View and Normal View. -
Program Tabs
Three program tabs appear on the right side of the Viewer.
Home contains recent stories of interest. You can watch individual programs on this tab or add the programs to your play list.
Topics contains a variety of interesting topics. You can watch individual programs on this tab or add the programs to your play list.
Playlist shows the programs form the other two tabs that you have selected for your play list.
Watching Individual Programs
To watch individual clips:
- On the Home or Topics tab, find a program you want to view.
- Click the
button in the story panel. The program starts playing in the Viewer and information about the program appears in the Program Guide.
Note: If a program was playing in the Viewer, the program you selected interrupts that program.
Creating a Play List
To create a play list:
- In the Home or Topics tab, find a program you want to watch and click the
button in the story panel. - To add more programs to your play list, repeat step 1.
- When you finish selecting programs for your play list, click the Playlist tab. The programs appear in the order you selected them.
Exiting the Multimedia Center
To exit the Multimedia Player, perform one of the following steps:
- Click the Close Window icon (X) in the top-right corner of the window.
- Click the icon in the top-left corner of the window and click Close.
Downloading Plug-Ins For the Multimedia Center
Some browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, require you to download a plug-in in order to use the Multimedia Center. Please use the following procedure to download the necessary plug-in for Firefox.
- Once you have launched the Multimedia Center, you will be directed to the player screen. Once on the player screen, you will be prompted by the browser to install software on your computer.
- Click on the “Edit Options” button in the top right corner. A pop-up window will open up.
- Select the “Allow” button and then “Close” to close the pop-up window.
- Click to select the Multimedia Center window and press the “F5” key on your keyboard to refresh the browser window.
- You will get a prompt to install the plugin:

- Select the plug-in from the list and click the “Install Now” button.
- Once the plug-in has been installed successfully, you must close your browser window and re-launch the Multimedia Center. This is a one time installation process of the plug-in for Mozilla Firefox users.
- Additional requirements for the Multimedia Player are the Adobe® Flash 8 Plugin and Microsoft® Windows Media 10. Use the links below to download these additional requirements:
