The Carolina Panthers work directly with community partners to promote the personal growth of students across North and South Carolina and enrich their academic experiences through a variety of programs.
Classroom Central is a free school supply store for teachers and a valued team partner in education. The organization, whose mission is to provide resource-challenged students with the critical school supplies they need to learn effectively, serves more than 132,000 students in six school districts annually.
The Carolina Panthers helped launch Classroom Central in 2001 with a lead funding grant of $200,000. The team continues its support of the store's efforts through annual financial contributions from Carolina Panthers Charities and direct supply donations. Additionally, the Panthers' annual "Stuff the Bus" school supply drive generates tens of thousands of items for the free store. For more information, please visit www.classroomcentral.org.
The Carolina Panthers and Harris Teeter recognize local elementary schools each spring that have demonstrated outstanding and exemplary character during the academic school year. If you think your school is a "Champion of Character," please complete the Champions of Character essays and application by March 1.
Each spring, Sir Purr visits hundreds of schools across the Carolinas to help students prepare for the End of Grade tests in North Carolina and Palmetto Assessment of State Standards tests in South Carolina.
