Prep Football

High school football is an important part of the fabric that bonds communities across the Carolinas. The Panthers are proud to provide programs and resources that support and recognize high school football in our region.

Community Captain

The Community Captain program presented by Guy Roofing recognizes outstanding high school football student-athletes in North and South Carolina who have demonstrated strong leadership skills both on and off the field. Nominate a student-athlete.

High School Coach of the Week

The High School Coach of the Week program presented by Toshiba Business Solutions recognizes coaches who, through their hard work and dedication, have made a difference in the lives of their players, community and school. Nominate a high school football coach.

High School Wall of Champions

During the 2017 renovations to Bank of America Stadium the Carolina Panthers updated their previous wall of champions to include two video presentations within the stadium concourse level. The highlight video for the North Carolina state champions can be found at the North Gate Concourse and the highlights for the South Carolina state championscan be found at the South Gate Concourse. Each video display highlights each state championship game including all leagues and divisions, both public and private. The Carolina Panthers are proud to honor state champions from across the Carolinas and support football at the grassroots level.

7-On-7 Passing Tournament

High school football teams from North and South Carolina compete in the Panthers' 7-on-7 Passing Tournament each summer with the winner advancing to the NFL's national High School Player Development 7-on-7 passing tournament.

Training Camp Unified Practice

A tradition started during the 2016 training camp the Carolina Panthers welcome a high school team to participate in a unified practice. The unified practice is held as part of the NFL and Panthers “Play Football Month” program, celebrating the game of football played at the grassroots level.

The players start the day by working side by side with Panthers players and their position coaches running through drills, along with Panthers players. After drills, players from both teams line up for stretching and then separate for team practice. Both Coach Rivera and the visiting high school coach have the opportunity to address both teams at the conclusion of practice.

High School Crucial Catch

The Carolina Panthers, in partnership with the NFL and American Cancer Society, pioneered a program in 2013 to support the NFL’s “A Crucial Catch” program at the high school level at select schools in North and South Carolina. Schools are provided with “Crucial Catch” stadium kits including banners, player wristbands, cheerleader poms, wall cards, customized PA announcement and stadium presentation elements. Schools are encouraged to designate one home game as a “pink” game, while also fundraising to support breast cancer research.

High School Pregame Meal Grant

Throughout each season, the Carolina Panthers provide 10 high schools with pregame meal grants for their varsity football programs. Pregame meals at the high school level are a tradition that help build team unity, provide important life skill messaging and focus for the upcoming game. As part of the grant, each school receives $1,000 and a visit from a Carolina Panthers alumni player that shares his football background and life lessons with the high school student athletes.
