"Play where the pros practice!" Area youth flag football teams have the opportunity to play a game where the real Carolina Panthers practice on a Saturday during the season. Games are held at the team's practice facility adjacent to Bank of America Stadium.
The following youth football leagues have participated in NFL Flag Saturday: Challenger League, Cornelius Parks & Recreation, Mecklenburg County Parks & Recreation, Pop Warner Little Panthers and Youth Football Development League.
"This is as much fun for us as it is the kids and their parents," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations. "The energy and enthusiasm these teams have are perfect examples of how NFL Flag is a good way of introducing the sport of football to kids."
