CHARLOTTE -- It took a pair of withdrawals, but the first offensive line to block for a pair of 1,100-yard runners in the same season will be represented at the Pro Bowl.
Center Ryan Kalil was added to the NFC All-Star roster Monday morning, joining running back ![]()

Kalil was a second alternate when Pro Bowl voting concluded in December, but became a first alternate last week after Dallas' Andre Gurode pulled out because of an injury. New Orleans' Jonathan Goodwin took Gurode's spot, but he was ruled out of the Pro Bowl after his team won Sunday night's NFC Championship over the Minnesota Vikings.
The Panthers have had at least three representatives in six of the last seven Pro Bowls, including last year, when four players played in the game.
Kalil becomes the Panthers' first center and third offensive lineman to play in the Pro Bowl. His invitation also gives the Panthers two Pro Bowlers among their first-team offensive line; left tackle ![]()
