A 5-foot-10, 183-pound cornerback, Stanford played in 51-of-52 games for the Utes, the lone exception being the season opener his freshman year, and produced 125 tackles, four sacks, one interception, 12 passes defensed and three fumble recoveries. He began his career at running back but switched to cornerback late in his freshman season.

Over his junior and sophomore seasons, he made nine starts - opening five games at nickel back and four at cornerback.
