SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- With a soccer-esque kick of his helmet across the end zone Monday night, Steve Smith showed his anger, and no one could blame him after he landed hard and injured his shoulder during a one-on-one drill.
X-rays on the shoulder were negative.
"You just want to wait and make sure everything is okay," General Manager Marty Hurney said on Panther Talk just after the practice. "I'm sure we'll have more information tomorrow."
Smith had left the field less than halfway through the session, being taken to the Richardson Building on the back of a cart.
