In an ongoing effort to ensure the safety of fans, the Carolina Panthers will continue the NFL's mandated enhanced security screening at Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints at Bank of America Stadium.
The Panthers implemented the security measures in the preseason and will continue to do so throughout the 2012 season. The screening includes hand-held metal-detecting wands and/or pat-downs.
Because the enhanced screening will result in a longer entry process, it is recommended that fans arrive early and allow extra time when entering the stadium. Gates open for Sunday's contest at 11 a.m.
"We encourage people to arrive at the stadium early," said Carolina Panthers Director of Stadium Operations Scott Paul. "Sunday's attendance is expected to be considerably larger than our typical preseason crowd, and the best way to avoid a delay at the gate is arriving early."
Fans are urged to use all three stadium entrances since the majority of traffic typically enters through the North Gate.
