Injury Report: Positive outlook for Thursday

Posted Oct 11, 2017

No one listed on the final injury report outside of trio that missed last week's game.

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers will be at full strength for Thursday Night Football, with no one besides three players that missed the previous game even listed on the injury report.

Center Ryan Kalil and safeties Kurt Coleman and Demetrious Cox remain out, but nicked up players like wide receiver Devin Funchess and cornerbacks James Bradberry and Daryl Worley fully participated in practice Wednesday and should be good to go for the Eagles game.

"We were very fortunate coming out of the game on Sunday. The guys have taken care of themselves," head coach Ron Rivera said. "We were really smart about it on Monday, and I really appreciate the effort they've made to get themselves right and ready to play."

With Coleman and Cox both out for the seconds straight game, Rivera said the defense would again enter the game planning to rotate special teams standout Colin Jones and veteran addition Jairus Byrd – signed last week – at free safety.

"They both played well for us last week," Rivera said. "Jairus was still learning, and he's got a little bit better grasp this week that's showing in practice. Colin is a real physical for us, a guy who gets around really quickly and can make plays for us.

"We're pretty excited about it and very pleased with what we've gotten from the two of them so far. Hopefully we can get that again tomorrow night."
