CHARLOTTE — Outside linebacker Frankie Luvu was cleared from the COVID-19 list Saturday, but he's not going to play today.
The Panthers leading special teams tackler is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons.
He didn't practice last week leading into the game. He leads the team with eight special teams tackles, and also has a blocked punt and a forced fumble, in addition to his three fumble recoveries on defense.
Rookie wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is back on the field this week, after the second-rounder was inactive in their last game against the Dolphins.
Fellow rookie receiver Shi Smith is inactive this week.
The Panthers are also without starting guards John Miller and Michael Jordan because of injuries.
Dennis Daley and Brady Christensen will start in their places, giving the Panthers their ninth different combination of starting offensive linemen in 13 games.
Also inactive for the Panthers were quarterback Matt Barkley, safety Kenny Robinson, and defensive end Darryl Johnson.
