NEW ORLEANS — The Panthers got some key defensive starters back from the COVID-19 list just in time to make the trip, and they'll suit up today against the Saints.
Linebacker Shaq Thompson and defensive end Brian Burns are active for today's game, after they were cleared from the COVID-19 list Saturday.
That helps, though the Panthers will be without sack leader Haason Reddick, as he's one of 10 players remaining on the reserve COVID-19 list.
The Panthers will be without cornerback Stephon Gilmore, as he's inactive after suffering a groin injury last week against the Buccaneers.
Also inactive for Sunday's game were safety Sean Chandler, defensive end Azur Kamara, tackle Cameron Erving, guard Deonte Brown, and defensive end Austin Larkin.
The means Brady Christensen will start at left tackle (for Erving), Keith Taylor Jr. at cornerback (for Gilmore), and Frankie Luvu at outside linebacker (for Reddick).
