CHARLOTTE – Head coach Ron Rivera said it's safe to rule out wide receiver Curtis Samuel for Sunday's season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Samuel hasn't practiced this week with what's been labeled a "medical illness" on the injury report.
"I would say it's safe to rule him out; I'm not going to play around with this one. It's a medical issue, and the doctors are taking care of it," Rivera said.
"It's unfortunate. I'll know he'll just continue to do what he's told and he'll be back."
Here is the complete injury report for Wednesday.
