Head coach Matt Rhule to be siren sounder for Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night

Matt Rhule, Carolina Hurricanes siren sounder

CHARLOTTE - Panthers head coach Matt Rhule will serve as one of three Carolina Hurricanes siren sounders for tonight's home matchup against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

In a tradition that dates back to 2008, the siren sounder kicks off every Hurricanes home game right before the puck drops for each period.

In 2019, running back Christian McCaffrey and former linebacker Luke Kuechly have cranked the siren. Former wide receiver Steve Smith and former head coach Ron Rivera have also been siren sounders.

Rhule will be joined by Duke assistant men's basketball coach Jon Scheyer and the Bachelor's Matt James. Tonight's game begins at 6:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Network.
