Panthers to hold third annual tree lighting

CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers' third annual tree lighting event will be held Wednesday, November 23.

The celebration is free of charge and takes place outside Bank of America Stadium, on the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Panthers fans will enjoy appearances by Sir Purr, TopCats, PurrCussion and Black and Blue Crew and performances by Stephanie Streater and Carmelo Smith of Sol Fusion as well as the UNC Charlotte Faculty Brass Quintet.

Families will be treated to an evening that includes children's activities, holiday music and a special visit from Santa Claus. The event will be capped by the tree lighting ceremony of the 55-foot tall Norway Spruce harvested in Banner Elk, N.C.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities.
