Week 10 Inactives: Jeremy Chinn active for Buccaneers rematch

CHARLOTTE — After sitting out last week's loss in Kansas City with a knee injury, safety Jeremy Chinn is active Sunday against the Buccaneers.

Chinn was never in real danger of missing the game, but he was listed as questionable just like he was heading into the contest with the Chiefs. He still leads all rookies in tackles by a comfortable margin with 66 this season.

Running back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) and left tackle Russell Okung (calf) were both ruled out for this rematch with the Bucs on Friday. Mike Davis will get his seventh start of the season in place of McCaffrey. Dennis Daley will start for the second time in three games in place of Okung, but Trent Scott and Greg Little could also see some snaps.

With defensive end Stephen Weatherly now on the reserve/injured list with a finger injury, second-round pick Yetur Gross-Matos will get his first career start. And after Will Grier was active in Kansas City, P.J. Walker will be Carolina's backup quarterback for the fourth time in the past five games.

Here is the full list of Panthers' inactives:

  • QB Will Grier
  • RB Christian McCaffrey
  • LT Russell Okung
  • OL Michael Schofield
  • DT Bruce Hector
  • CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver
  • DB Sean Chandler

Buccaneers' inactives:

  • G Ali Marpet
  • RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn
  • DL Khalil Davis
  • QB Ryan Griffin
