Kevin M. Gilbride was named tight ends coach in 2022 after serving as a defensive analyst for the Panthers in 2021.

Gilbride was most recently the tight ends coach with the Chicago Bears during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. In 2018, Chicago's Trey Burton hauled in 569 yards receiving with six touchdowns, tied for fourth among NFL tight ends that season. That year, the Bears won the NFC North division for the first time in nine seasons.
Prior to Chicago, Gilbride spent eight seasons with the New York Giants from 2010-17, working his way up from offensive quality control (2010-11) to wide receivers coach (2012-13) to tight ends coach (2014-17) for his last four seasons in New York.
In 2017, Gilbride coached Giants rookie Evan Engram who finished fifth among tight ends with 722 receiving yards and six touchdowns. It marked the most receiving yards by any NFL rookie tight end since the 2002 season when Jeremy Shockey recorded 894 receiving yards.
The 2016 Giants earned a spot in the playoffs by finishing second in the NFC East and ranked 13th in the NFL with 26 receiving touchdowns. In 2014, the Giants tight ends, led by Larry Donnell, combined to record 11 receiving touchdowns which ranked sixth in the NFL that season.
Gilbride was also a part of the 2011 Giants team that went on to win Super Bowl XLII after advancing through the playoffs as a wild card team.
Prior to New York, Gilbride worked with Panthers head coach Matt Rhule at Temple (2007-09) as the Owls' wide receivers coach. In 2009, the Owls went 9-4 and advanced to the EagleBank Bowl, the program's first bowl appearance since 1979.
Gilbride started as a graduate assistant at Syracuse (2003-05) and also spent a year at Georgetown (2006) as receivers coach.
The son of former New York Giants offensive coordinator Kevin B. Gilbride. Gilbride graduated from the University of Hawaii in 2003 with a communications degree after playing football and baseball for the Rainbow Warriors.
