CHARLOTTE — The Panthers made a pair of roster moves at the guard position, following a recent injury.

The club claimed guard Mason Brooks off of waivers on Thursday. In a corresponding move, second year guard Nash Jensen was waived-injured.

After finishing his college career at Ole Miss, Brooks was selected by the Memphis Showboats in the USFL draft, but later signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Commanders. He spent the 2023 season on the practice squad in Washington.

The Panthers finished last Thursday's preseason game versus the Patriots with only five healthy and dressed linemen. The club's second preseason game is Saturday against the New York Jets.
