Biography

Keyshawn Colmon enters his second season with the Panthers as offensive assistant, working primarily with the wide receivers.

In 2025, Colmon helped wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan to Associated Press Rookie of the Year honors after leading all rookie receivers with 1,014 receiving yards and totaling the third-most receptions with 70. Jalen Coker continued to ascend, logging a 76.7% reception percentage in his second NFL season, the fourth best among wide receivers with at least 40 targets. Coker is just one of three Panthers wide receivers since 2009 to notch a reception percentage of 75% or more in a single season, joining Adam Thielen (2023-24) and Curtis Samuel (2020).

Prior to joining Carolina, Colmon served as the wide receivers coach for Sacramento State. Under his guidance, three receivers posted 600+ receiving yards for the Hornets in 2024, becoming just the third trio in school history to achieve this feat.

Prior to his time with the Hornets, Colmon served as an offensive graduate assistant at Fresno State (2023), assisting with the wide receivers. Four players finished the season with 500 or more receiving yards and two players finished the season with 700+ receiving yards.

Colmon's coaching career began with Dayton, where he served as a graduate assistant (2022). That season, the Flyers posted an 8-3 record and 6-2 record in the Pioneer Football League.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Colmon played wide receiver at John Carroll University (2018-21). In 22 career games due to a shortened season during the COVID-19 pandemic, he totaled 41 receptions for 624 yards and six touchdowns. Colmon earned his bachelor's degree in sports studies.
