CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added a pair of players from the practice squad for added depth this week against the Cowboys.
The team activated cornerback Keion Crossen and offensive lineman Brandon Walton from the practice squad by standard elevation.
It's Walton's third and final elevation for the year. To appear in another game, he'd need to be signed to the 53-man roster. Crossen, a veteran special teams player, was added to the practice squad earlier this week.
With right tackle Taylor Moton out this week with an elbow injury, Yosh Nijman is expected to start. And since they only have eight offensive linemen on the 53, Walton was a need.
The Panthers also downgraded wide receiver Jalen Coker to out on the injury report.
He practiced this week, starting his 21-day window to practice en route to being activated from injured reserve. He'll need to be added to the 53-man roster before he can play in a game, but that won't be this week.
