CHARLOTTE — The Panthers held onto one of their own key special teams players on Wednesday.
The team signed cornerback Akayleb Evans to a one-year deal.
Evans played 16 games last year for the Panthers, primarily on special teams.
A former fourth-round pick of the Vikings, he was claimed off waivers in 2024. He has appeared in 18 games with one start.
