The Carolina Panthers teamed up with local elementary, middle and high schools to celebrate the start of the Panthers season with the Panthers Spirit Rocks! school rock art contest presented by Lowe's. Schools were encouraged to show their Panthers Spirit on the original form of social media – their school rock! McKee Road Elementary was selected as "Top Rock" for this year's contest!

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, RW Latin Dance taught a Bachata class, teaching the Panthers a traditional dance from the Dominican Republic.

Students at Lingerfeldt Elementary in Gastonia, NC kicked off the school year with an encouragement pep rally after receiving backpacks and school supplies as part of The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation annual backpack and school supplies distribution. The program provided 25,000 backpacks with school supplies to six high-needs school districts in North and South Carolina at the start of the school year.
