CHARLOTTE — The Panthers will be without three starters on offense and one on defense for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
They had ruled out running back Chuba Hubbard (calf), right tackle Taylor Moton (elbow), and defensive tackle Tershawn Wharton (toe) on Friday, along with reserve cornerback Akayleb Evans (hamstring).
The rest of the inactives are tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders, safety Trevian Thomas, and defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy.
Sanders was listed as questionable on the injury report with an ankle injury after missing the previous two weeks.
The Panthers are expected to start Rico Dowdle again at running back after his 206-yard game last week. They're going to start veteran tackle Yosh Nijman for Moton, and Bobby Brown III in Wharton's spot. Tommy Tremble will continue to start at tight end, with a lot of Mitchell Evans mixed in.
They activated offensive lineman Brandon Walton and cornerback Keion Crossen from the practice squad for added depth this week. It's Walton's third and final elevation for the season.
