CHARLOTTE — The Panthers made a pair of moves on Tuesday, with an eye toward other moves that may be coming soon.
The team waived defensive back Trevian Thomas, who was signed to the active roster from the practice squad two weeks ago.
That creates a spot on the 53-man roster.
The Panthers have a number of options to fill it, as they're getting closer to the return of wide receiver Jalen Coker from injured reserve. Coker practiced last week and has two weeks left in his 21-day window to practice, though he could be activated at any time.
The Panthers are also planning to open the window for offensive lineman Austin Corbett on Wednesday. Corbett's been on IR since a Week 2 knee injury, and he would add some needed depth to an offensive line that's used five different combinations in six weeks.
The Panthers also released offensive lineman Darrian Dalencourt from the practice squad. He was signed last week.
