CHARLOTTE — A pair of Panthers stars are up for weekly awards after big performances in Sunday's win over the Cowboys.
Wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is up for rookie of the week after catching his first and second NFL touchdowns.
McMillan has 27 catches for 380 yards and two touchdowns. He's second among all rookies in receiving yards.
Also, Rico Dowdle is up for the league's air and ground player of the week.
Dowdle had his second straight huge game, with 239 yards from scrimmage against the Cowboys. He had 183 rushing and 56 receiving yards, setting a Panthers franchise record for single-game output, breaking the old record set by Christian McCaffrey. Dowdle is also fourth on that list, after his breakout game against the Dolphins last week.
