Mock Draft Report 7.0

This week's Mock Draft Report is nothing if not interesting.

Everyone agrees safety is a major need for Carolina, and Derwin James sure sounds like a home run selection by Tony Pauline. But the idea of the former Florida State standout being available at 24 is highly, highly unlikely. Justin Reid, another top safety prospect from Stanford, continues to be a popular pick, evidenced by Mel Kiper’s latest projection.

Cornerback is another position of interest, and Central Florida's Mike Hughes makes his debut in our Mock Draft Report courtesy of Dan Kadar.

Offensively, the Derrius Guice projection grabs your attention. Would the Panthers consider going running back with consecutive first-round picks? Maurice Jones-Drew, a star running back in his own right, seems to think so.
