CHARLOTTE — The awards continue to come for Panthers players after a big 30-27 overtime win against the Falcons. Quarterback Bryce Young and receiver Tetairoa McMillan have been named the FedEx Air & Ground Players of the Week.
Young threw for 448 yards on 31-of-45 passing with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The 448 passing yards set a new franchise record for the Panthers, breaking Cam Newton's previous record of 432 yards.
This is the second award of the day for Young, who was named the NFC offensive player of the week earlier in the day.

"You didn't want me to say it first, but I'm still going to repeat it, individual awards, that's not what I'm after," Young said Sunday after the game when asked about breaking Newton's record. "It doesn't mean anything. I'm grateful that we won; we had the most important stat today, and it was a win. That's all that matters.
"But again, being able to be mentioned with Cam, with a player of that caliber who I have so much respect for, it's definitely an honor."
McMillan had the best game of his already illustrious rookie season, bringing in eight receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns. He is now sixth in the entire NFL with 748 yards on 54 receptions. He has four touchdowns.
After the big performance against the Falcons, McMillan now leads all rookie receivers in yardage. He led all Panthers' receivers on Sunday as well. After the game, McMillan credited the entire receiving corps for what they were able to do.
"Shoot, honestly, I think we were executing all cylinders, every receiver was going off, just kind of expanding the offense and opening up holes for us. And so I wouldn't be able to do it by myself at all," McMillan said. "I mean, that's big, our guys, the tight end room, the running backs, and especially our receivers coming in and making plays, you know, that's huge just to fly around and execute on all cylinders.
"It only makes my job easier, makes Bryce's job easier, and makes the play caller's job easier just so that they can rely on any player on the offense."
The Air & Ground Player of the Week is a fan based vote that recognizes quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends. This is the first win of the season for Young and McMillan.
The Panthers are the first team this season to have two players win the award in the same week. The last time that happened was Week 17 of last season with Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins.
By winning the Air & Ground NFL Player of the Week Awards, FedEx will proudly offer a $2,000 donation in Bryce Young and Tetairoa McMillans's names to Feeding America for a local food bank in the Carolinas.
