CHARLOTTE -- Tight end Greg Olsen knew he would need another surgical procedure performed on his foot at some point, but he was hoping to make it through the 2018 season first.
We know that didn't happen, as Olsen was placed on IR after re-injuring his foot against the Buccaneers a couple weeks ago.
On Monday, Olsen shared an update on Instagram, revealing that "surgery went well and I am on my way towards a full recovery."
Olsen also shared a picture of the special cleats he was planning to wear for Carolina's "My Cause, My Cleats" game against the Saints.
"Good luck to my guys tonight!" Olsen wrote. "I'll be the guy yelling on his couch."
