CHARLOTTE – The Carolina Panthers' Fifth Annual Tree Lighting will be held the week of Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 20.
The celebration is free of charge and takes place outside Bank of America Stadium, on the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Panthers fans will enjoy appearances by Sir Purr, the TopCats Cheerleaders, the PurrCussion Drumline and the Black & Blue Crew. The tree lighting ceremony program will also include performances featuring the USO Show Troupe. Fans are encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift with them as the Marines will be on-hand collecting donations as part of their annual "Toys For Tots" program!
Attendees will be treated to an evening that includes children's activities, holiday movies, festive music and a special visit from Santa Claus. The event will conclude with the tree lighting ceremony for the 57-foot tall Concolor Fur Tree from Winston-Salem, N.C.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to relax and enjoy the festivities. Bottled water and Hot Cocoa will be available free of charge with additional food and drinks also available for purchase from various local food trucks onsite. Food trucks to be featured at this year's event are TIN Kitchen, Comfort Food on Wheels, Cremoso Cheesecakes, New Wrap Order and Oak City Fish & Chips.
The event will be held rain or shine and parking will be available from various independent parking companies in the Uptown area.
