The Press Coverage podcast returns from a hiatus - minus Bill Voth - the day after owner David Tepper provided plenty of talking points in both video and written form. Among the topics discussed by Max Henson and Bryan Strickland:
- Tepper didn't offer a medical update regarding Cam Newton's sore shoulder, but his thoughts on the importance of being prepared for all possible outcomes somehow spawned stories that took too many liberties with what is actually known about Newton's situation.
- Tepper did offer thoughts on the decisions to retain head coach Ron Rivera and general manager Marty Hurney, as well as the decision to part ways with Thomas Davis. We discuss those, as well as the owner's plans for the franchise's future on and off the field.
- Tepper left it to us to offer our own thoughts on the playoffs so far and the conference championship games this weekend.
