8 numbers to know heading into Wild Card weekend

Sunday's game against the Saints will be the first all-NFC South playoff game since divisional realignment in 2002.

The Panthers are 3-0 on Wild Card weekend. They're the only team to advance to the Divisional Round in every playoff trip they've ever made.

The Panthers are in the playoffs for the fourth time in the past five years. That's tied with Green Bay and Seattle for the most trips in the NFC since 2013.

Linebacker Thomas Davis is set to play in his 11th postseason game, which will push him past former kicker John Kasay for most playoff games in franchise history.

Carolina has an all-time playoff record of 9-7.  The Saints, who were founded in 1967, have also played 16 postseason games. Their all-time record is 7-9.

Defensive end Julius Peppers will be playing in his 18th postseason game with Carolina, Chicago and Green Bay, most among players in the NFC playoffs.

21 Quarterback Cam Newton needs 21 completions to pass Jake Delhomme for most playoff completions in franchise history. Newton will be playing in his seventh postseason game. Delhomme played in eight.

The Panthers have 34 players with postseason experience totaling 187 games, the most of any team in the NFC playoffs.
