CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have elevated rookie defensive end Bryan Cox Jr. onto the 53-man roster from the practice squad and have placed linebacker Jeremy Cash on injured reserve with a calf injury.

The team also announced a change to its injury report for Sunday's game at the Patriots, now listing defensive end Julius Peppers as questionable with a shoulder injury.

Cash, a second-year player from Duke who has contributed on special teams since signing as an undrafted rookie last year, has been dealing with a calf injury and hasn't played since Week 1.

Cox, a 6-foot-3, 270-pounder, signed as an undrafted rookie in May out of the University of Florida, where he recorded 10 sacks in 28 starts. The son of a linebacker of the same name who played in the NFL from 1991-2002, Cox was waived in the Panthers' final roster cutdown but was signed to the practice squad the next day.
