!

Comments from Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox following the team's practice.

On injuries: Did not participate: Everette Brown - ankle, Na'il Diggs - rib, Chris Harris - knee and Brad Hoover - back. Limited participation: Jordan Gross - knee, Charles Johnson - heat, Captain Munnerlyn - heat, Jeff Otah - shoulder and Jonathan Stewart - heel. Full participation: Dan Connor - shoulder, Mike Goodson - illness, Nick Hayden - toe, Sherrod Martin - knee, Muhsin Muhammad - ankle and Steve Smith - ankle.

On the challenges a 3-4 defense presents: It just changes some of your approach offensively, both in the run game and in the protection game. It is something that we did work against both through some preseason opponents as well as offseason. There are enough 3-4 teams now that you have to study that in the offseason and prepare things before the upcoming season, so it's not anything that's caught us off guard. Spacing wise, typically, it's very similar. Most people who are 3-4 will play over and under like 4-3 teams but you just treat it a little bit different because you've got four linebackers versus four down linemen.
