CHARLOTTE -- Veteran defensive tackle Paul Soliai is inactive for Sunday's game against the 49ers, meaning Carolina has just three active defensive tackles. Defensive end Lavar Edwards is active, giving the Panthers five active defensive ends.
Edwards was claimed off waivers days prior to the season opener and was inactive against the Broncos.
