McCoy moves on to Broncos



CHARLOTTE --After nine seasons with the Panthers, quarterbacks/passing coordinator Mike McCoy was named offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach of the Denver Broncos on Tuesday.

McCoy served under head coaches John Fox and George Seifert during his time in Carolina.  Over the course ofhis tenure, he served as offensive assistant, quarterbacks coach and finally, quarterbacks/passing coordinator in 2007 and 2008.

He joined the Panthers in 2000 after spending the previous year playing for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League.  He also had a brief tenure with the Broncos during the 1995 offseason after completing his college career at the University of Utah.
