News and notes: Group tickets on sale

Begin planning your group outing to Bank of America Stadium for the fall. A limited number of Group Sales tickets to each of the Carolina Panthers 10 home games for the 2010 season are on sale. Tickets cost $32 and $52. All Group Sales tickets are located in the upper level corners of the stadium. If you wish to purchase lower level tickets or tickets lower in the upper level, the only option is to purchase a South Lawn Village Corporate Hospitality Package (sold in groups of 20 or more).

All group sales orders are processed online through Ticketmaster's convenient self-service group platform. Each group will set up an online account, select the game(s) they wish to purchase, choose the group price, review the seats and print the tickets with TicketFast technology - giving you the ultimate control of your group sales account. Purchase group tickets.

It's twice the fun and twice the excitement! A limited number of Ticket2Packs go on sale June 1. Tickets cost $52 per seat per game, and purchase restrictions apply.

BROADCASTERS HONORED: Two people whose voices are familiar to Panthers' fans have been honored for their work in the broadcast booth. Panthers Radio Network play-by-play announcer Mick Mixon has been named the co-North Carolina Sportscaster of the Year and Panthers Television Network play-by-play announcer Mike Morgan has been named the co-South Carolina Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.

Mixon, who joined the Panthers' radio broadcast team in 2005, was awarded for his efforts on the Carolina Panthers Radio Network, which includes a pre-game show, game broadcast, post-game show and weekly call-in show. This marks the third time he has been recognized after winning in 1999 and 2004 while with the Tar Heel Sports Network.

Morgan, who took over play-by-play duties for Panthers preseason games last year, earned the award for his work with the Panthers Television Network, doing sports/talk radio for Clear Channel and announcing South Carolina Gamecock games. This represents his fourth award after garnering recognition three consecutive years from 2005-07 for the South Carolina Gamecocks Sports Network.
