POWER RANKINGS UPDATE: Following their first loss of the season, the Panthers slipped one spot to No.2 in several of the weekly power rankings by national media outlets, including ESPN, FoxSports, CBS Sports and Pro Football Talk. Despite the loss, the Panthers held on to the top spot in the weekly rankings from, Pro Football Focus and USA Today.
