CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have released practice squad safety Marcus Ball and replaced him with cornerback Lou Young.

Young, who spent the entire 2015 season on Carolina's practice squad, was with the Panthers through training camp before being waived in the final roster cutdown. He has not yet played in a game.

The Panthers promoted rookie Zack Sanchez from the practice squad after releasing Bene Benwikere last week, so Young provides some additional cornerback depth.

Guard Tyler Larsen has also been added back to the practice squad, so all 10 spots are filled.
