CHARLOTTE — The Panthers brought back a key reserve and special teamer on Friday, and he can't wait to get back to work.

The team re-signed linebacker Claudin Cherelus on Friday.

When he came in, he met new teammate Devin Lloyd in the building, and was excited to be back after his own most successful season.

The Carolina Panthers practice on Wednesday, Sep. 24, 2025 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC.

Cherelus, 27, played in 14 games with four starts last season.

He also started the wild card game against the Rams and tied for the team-high with nine tackles against the Rams.

Originally claimed off waivers from the Jets in 2023, he's appeared in 33 games with six starts, and has developed into trustworthy depth at linebacker.
