SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Panthers have signed cornerback Devonte Johnson after waiving wide receiver Cameron Posey.

Johnson spent part of the offseason on the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster. Last year, he spent time on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad as an undrafted rookie. His four-year career at Weber State included 21 career games, 14 pass breakups and 76 career tackles.

Carolina has been dealing with injuries at the cornerback position, specifically to Captain Munnerlyn (hamstring) and rookie Corn Elder (knee).
