CHARLOTTE – The Panthers have executed their 14th future signing by adding safety L.J. McCray.

The Charlotte native is a former undrafted rookie free agent from Catawba College who spent 2014 and 2015 with the San Francisco 49ers. He played in 22 games and recorded 14 tackles as a key special teams contributor.

McCray's 2015 season was cut short by a knee injury. He was coached that year by current Carolina special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey. McCray did not play in 2016.
