Panthers trim roster to 75

CHARLOTTE – The Panthers placed injury designations on four players to reduce the roster to the 75-man limit on Tuesday.  

Quarterback Matt Blanchard and offensive lineman Kevin Matthews were placed on injured reserve, and tight end D.C. Jefferson was waived/injured. Wide receiver De'Andre Presley was placed on reserve/PUP, meaning he can't play for the first six weeks of the regular season.

All clubs must reduce their rosters from 75 to a maximum of 53 players for the regular season by 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 30.
