CHARLOTTE – The cat's out of the bag: Sir Purr has been named 2017 NFL Mascot of the Year.

The loveable cat was on top of his game throughout the 2017 season, earning the admiration of peers around the league.

Sir Purr was left speechless after hearing the news, although he did squeak several times while doing that trademark move he does with his belly.

Graham Gano and his family are among Sir Purr's biggest fans. The Pro Bowl kicker shared this message after hearing about the honor: "Congratulations to Sir Purr! There is no other mascot that I would rather have squeaking their paws in my ears while I warm up on the sideline. There's also the occasional, but always 'accidental,' knocking the ball off my tee on the sidelines. You're the best, Sir Purr."

Sir Purr also took home the prize for Mascot Video of the Year, which you can watch below.
