"We take pride in our run defense, we always have and we'll continue to do so going forward," defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins said. "And that's going to be big this week. If we can't stop the run, Christian McCaffrey will break an NFL record on us. That's how good he's been playing."

"It is impressive, man. They get after you," Brees said. "They have got a lot of good pass rushers. This has always been a very aggressive defense."

"I think he's their feature halfback and maybe two years ago you saw him in a lot of different roles," Payton said. "I think now, of course he's a guy that has that versatility in the passing game, but man, he's on the field for close to 100% of the snaps. And so you're seeing him obviously as a runner and receiving a lot of carries. And then also in the passing game."

Jordan talks about the comparisons with Kamara and McCaffrey (0:05), and trying to rattle Kyle Allen (1:08).

The Panthers trail the all-time series against the Saints, 27-29. Carolina has played New Orleans more than any other team in its history.
