Career Highlights: A three-year starter for the Red Devils, helped the team win the North Carolina Class 2-A State Championship as a sophomore and advance to the North Carolina Class 2-AA State Championship as a junior...As a senior, won the school's "Red Club Champion" award – a weightlifting award given to a student-athlete with a grade-point average above 3.0 and who can lift more than 1,200 combined pounds on four different types of lifts (bench, squat, power clean and jerk press)...Maintains an unweighted 3.6 grade-point average and lifted 1,300 pounds.
Community Service: Represents the football team on Newton-Conover's student-athlete advisory board...Advocate for Students Against Drunk Driving and encourages peers to follow his example...Participated in community service projects for disabled children at Conover School and Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley...Volunteered at the Catawba County Special Olympics and walks in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event each year.
