Career Highlights: Kirby has coached at Eastern Alamance for 25 years, starting as an assistant in 1985 before becoming head coach in 1992. He's earned Mid-State Conference Coach of the Year honors six times, garnered Regional Coach of the Year recognition four times and been named NC Preps 3A Coach of the Year once.

Community Service: Kirby serves on several committees for the Mebane Recreation & Parks Department and has coached Little League baseball, basketball and softball in addition to coordinating a youth football camp each summer. The Eastern Alamanace football team hosts "Meet the Eagles," where players give out T-shirts and mentor young kids, and also holds a youth night that allows youth football teams the opportunity to interact with varsity players pregame and then play a game at halftime.

Quote: "Hard work, having a good attitude and doing the little things correct will make you successful in football and in life. Football is something players will remember for the rest of their lives. Years from now when they gather at reunions or just see each other, football will be the topic of conversation and stories of success will be stretched, however the common bond that has been made will last forever."
