Panthers, Academy Sports + Outdoors offer equipment grants

The Carolina Panthers and Academy Sports + Outdoors are offering $5,000 in equipment grants that will provide new football equipment for youth football programs in the Carolinas.

Any youth football organization in the Carolinas that is a USA Football Heads Up Football participant or has committed to the Heads Up Football program for 2014 is eligible to apply. The grant selection committee will take into account a team's contribution to its community and need for financial assistance.

Every team that applies for the grant will be eligible to receive:

• $1,000 in FREE equipment from Academy Sports + Outdoors
• More than $2,000 in FREE Panthers preseason tickets
• Opportunity to participate in the Panthers Rookie Heads Up Football Play 60 event. The Panthers' 2014 rookie class will coach the one-day football camp.
• Opportunity for coach to win the Panthers Youth Football Coach of the Week

Download the equipment grant application. The deadline to apply is May 16, 2014.

The Carolina Panthers and Academy Sports + Outdoors are strong supporters of youth football in North and South Carolina and are committed to providing programs and resources that enable youth across the region opportunities to play and enjoy football at the grassroots level.
