Panthers, Academy Sports + Outdoors offer equipment grants

For the second consecutive year, the Carolina Panthers and Academy Sports + Outdoors are offering $5,000 in equipment grants that will provide new football equipment for youth football programs in the Carolinas. Five grants, each with a retail value of approximately $1,000, will be awarded.

Any youth football organization in the Carolinas that is a USA Football Heads Up Football participant or has committed to the Heads Up Football program for 2015 is eligible to apply. The grant selection committee will take into account an organization's contribution to its community and need for financial assistance.

Every team that applies for the grant will be eligible to receive:

• $1,000 in FREE equipment from Academy Sports + Outdoors
• FREE Panthers preseason tickets
• Opportunity for coaches to win the Panthers Youth Football Coach of the Week
