CHARLOTTE — The Panthers backfilled the backfield on Wednesday.

The team agreed to terms with former Packers and Eagles running back AJ Dillon.

Dillon only got 12 carries for the Eagles last year, appearing in seven games.

But in four seasons with the Packers, he had 597 carries for 2,428 yards and 16 touchdowns, and he has a career 4.1-yard per carry average.

He missed the 2024 season because of a neck injury.

The 6-foot, 247-pounder is known as "Quadzilla," and brings a power element to the backfield along with Chuba Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks, Trevor Etienne and the rest of the room.

They were looking for another veteran for the mix, after Rico Dowdle left in free agency for Pittsburgh.
