Panthers and Guy Roofing announce 2017 Community Captains

Annual high school award program recognizes high school student-athletes who have excelled athletically, academically and in their community.

During the 2017 season, the Carolina Panthers and Guy Roofing partnered to recognize ten outstanding high school student-athletes in the Carolinas through the Carolina Panthers Community Captain program. The program recognizes high school student-athletes in North and South Carolina who excel in their sport, in the classroom, and in their community.

"The Carolina Panthers and Guy Roofing are pleased to recognize this year's Community Captain class.  They are an exceptional group of high school student-athletes and leaders in their school communities," said Riley Fields, Carolina Panthers Director of Community Relations. "Our hope is these outstanding young men and women will positively impact their communities and others through their leadership and service as they continue their personal growth in college and into adulthood."

This year's Carolina Panthers Community Captain class was honored in-stadium during the Minnesota Vikings vs. Carolina Panthers game at Bank of America Stadium on December 10, 2017.  In addition, the Carolina Panthers and Guy Roofing will provide a $500 contribution to benefit each Community Captain's high school athletic program.
