Panthers Re-sign Chris Scott

CHARLOTTE - Chris Scott, a valuable reserve and occasional starter along the offensive line the past three seasons, has signed a one-year contract to remain with the Panthers.

He wasn't on the team the first few weeks of 2014 but returned to a similar role, also taking some snaps at tackle. In 2013, his first year with the Panthers, Scott started seven games at right guard and one game at left guard.

Scott was a fifth-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010 out of the University of Tennessee.
